This Notting Hill project was a designers’ dream to work on, with the finished home representing our perfect vision of a small apartment in a grand London townhouse, supported by clients who were happy to follow a design-led approach allowing us to push our creativity. Our aim was to design a space with all of the elegance and architectural detailing of a grand residence, but with unexpected, fun and unique detailing, colour palettes, and a whole host of commissioned artworks, bespoke furniture and accessories to reflect the creativity and love of art of the homeowners. This complete refurbishment – the house was previously a crumbling white-box rental – took nearly three years to complete from appointment to completion. Our team spent painstaking hours designing the perfect layout, researching and reinstating original detailing and designing a home with a real fun character.
The location of the property, access restrictions, extensive structural works, planning challenges and the pandemic turned this project into a true challenge for our in-house Project Management team to execute, but the result is a unique London apartment in the heart of Notting Hill which we are incredibly proud of.
